‘And He walks with me, and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own…’- C. Austin Miles (1912). Many of our hearts are heavy this afternoon–just found out a precious young family that I have known for 20+ years has been hit devastatingly hard by COVID–he is in ICU battling for his life; his precious wife (also tested positive) has symptoms ramping up each day and more than likely will need to be hospitalized later today; their 3 kiddos (so far testing negative but starting to show symptoms) are quarantined with their grandparents. Most of you know that I am a college football ‘addict’ and my Saturdays usually 3 TV’s all afternoon with 3 games on – but today–just no interest–spending more time reading God’s word and intently praying for all those hurting so much around us. So today, a few brief words of encouragement. God is ever present. God understands. God has not and never will leave us or forsake us. God loves and cares for us abundantly. ‘Many things about tomorrow, I don’t seem to understand. But I know Who holds tomorrow, and I know Who holds my hand.’. #prayerchangesthings #prayerchangesus
