Proverbs 4:18 says, “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day” (NIV).
Right now, we may feel like there’s not enough light to see even one step in front of you. But when we trust God for the road ahead, He will make a way, one step at a time. Then, one day we will stand in the full light of eternity and view the big picture.
In the meantime, let’s do what Proverbs 3:5-6 says: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (NIV).
That is not as easy as it sounds! We usually want to trust in ourselves and what we understand about the situation. We don’t want to submit to anyone. We want to go our own way, and we especially want it to be on our timetable.
Be patient. God knows what he’s doing. He knows what is best for us, and we can trust him because He is good and He is Faithful. I know that first hand.
We may not be able to see the end result, but God can. All those problems, heartaches, difficulties, and delays—all the things that make us ask “why?”—will one day be clear in the light of God’s love.
But for now, we’re learning to trust God more. So go ahead and take the next step, leaning on God’s wisdom and His promises. Keep heading down that path He’s laid out for you, and he’ll keep making a way. How do I know that – He has for me. Love you all. More. God loves you. Most.
‘God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way, He will make a way.’
