Traditional invitational hymns of the church have been a part of my life since a child. I remember innumerable times they have convicted my heart –Just As I Am, Almost Persuaded–countless others – but this sacred hymn always would pierce the deepest parts of my soul. Admittedly and sadly, it was not until my adult life that it really became most real to me. ‘Mold me and make me after Thy Will’. It was the invitational hymn at church yesterday… ‘Filled with Thy spirit till all can see Christ only always living in me.’#havethyownway
‘Have Thine own way Lord
Have Thine own way
Thou art the potter I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will
While I am waiting yielded and still.
Have Thine own way Lord
Have Thine own way
Search me and try me Master today.
Whiter than snow Lord wash me just now
As in Thy presence humbly I bow.
Have Thine own way Lord
Have Thine own way
Hold over my being absolute sway.
Filled with Thy spirit till all can see
Christ only always living in me.’
