We’re Never Alone | FIXING OUR EYES ON JESUS
‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.’ Deuteronomy 31:6
Two thousand years ago, a solitary figure stood out in history. The Bible says the sin of all mankind was placed on Him as He walked to the place of sacrifice, carrying His own means of execution. He was betrayed by one of His best friends and denied by another. Not one person stood with Him. Not the blind man to whom He’d given sight. Or the leper He’d cleansed. He was crucified on a Roman cross, alone.
Jesus understands loneliness. He endured it for us. So we know that regardless of your circumstances, we need never be alone. Jesus said, “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
